Emanuele Mamo epitomises the essence of passion, dedication, and boundless creativity in the realm of music and education. As the proud Director and Owner of Vocal Art Studios, his journey with VAS spans from its very inception in 2003, reflecting not only his longstanding commitment but also his unwavering belief in the transformative power of music. With nearly two decades of teaching experience across vocal performance, songwriting, and music production, Emanuele has cultivated a legacy of excellence, guiding aspiring artists towards their fullest potential. His multifaceted expertise as a performer, educator, and industry trailblazer resonates deeply, shaping the very fabric of VAS.

Education

Emanuele achieved significant milestones in his musical education, completing Grade 8 Rockschool Vocals (London) and graduating with a Diploma of Music Performance Vocal through RSL Awards (London). His dedication to mastering his craft led him to make history in 2017 when he became the first person in Australia to complete the Grade 8 Music Production exam with a Distinction through RSL Awards in London. This accomplishment highlights his pioneering spirit and expertise in both vocal performance and music production.

Skills and Experience

Emanuele is the proud Director and Owner of VAS, joining since its inception in 2003. He been teaching at VAS for 20 years in vocal performance, songwriting, and music production, and was appointed the Head of the Vocal Department in 2014 and Head of Music Production in 2016.

He is a multi-skilled performer who has toured across Australia and America with various corporate acts and worked on RnB & Dance music projects with well-known Australian producers and artists.

Emanuele was signed to a major record label with two ARIA Top 10 singles: "Beside You" in 2010 and "Accidents Happen" in 2011. His remix of Sarah McLeod broke the ARIA Top 5 in 2012. He has since then launched a new EP in 2017 under the project name "Acaxia," influenced by collaboration with Indigenous musicians in Darwin.

Emanuele has extensive training in Speech Level Singing (SLS), a technique well known for its use by many acclaimed artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and most of Hollywood.

Interests

Emanuele continues to lead in songwriting, music production, and vocal coaching at VAS, conducting workshops nationwide. His students have achieved success in the music industry both nationally and internationally. He is the winner of several awards, including the Moonee Valley Foundation award in 2017, the Hume City Council Arts Award in 2018, and the VAS Teacher of the Year in 2018 and was inducted into the VAS Hall of Fame in 2019. Emanuele was also nominated for the prestigious Rudy Brandsma Songwriting Award at the Australian Songwriters Association annual awards in 2017.
