Each instructor brings a wealth of experience and a unique passion for music that enriches our vibrant community.
Jemma Paraskevas has been an invaluable member of the VAS family for the past 13 years, bringing a wealth of talent and dedication to the team. Known for her versatility, Jemma excels as both a skilled musician and a dynamic vocal coach. Her exceptional instrumental and songwriting abilities have significantly enriched the studio’s creative environment. As a solo performer, she has captivated audiences with her unique sound, and her contributions as a vocal coach have helped many students achieve their musical goals. Jemma's deep commitment to her craft and her students makes her a cherished and influential figure within the VAS community.
Jemma has completed all grades of Rockschool and graduated with a Diploma of Music Performance from RSL Awards (London) in 2016. In 2019, she became only the third person in the state to complete the Licentiate in Music Performance (Vocal). Jemma also trained at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London in 2015 and participated in an intensive music training program in the U.K. in 2017, being one of only two Australians selected.
Jemma puts huge emphasis on creating a creative and nurturing environment whilst still pushing her students to reach their full potential. She has developed her own style of teaching over the last 9 years, having experience teaching all ages and ranges of ability, finding that teaching vocal technique through songs that they want to learn and have vested interest in, growing and developing their own individual voice/sound, has provided the best and most consistent outcomes.
